I am tired of making a name for myself, and need to create a life for myself. My values have changed. My plan needs to change. I have checked all the boxes my entire life, but there is an obvious disconnect. I just don’t know exactly what is disconnected. My childhood dreams have morphed into lifeless income streams.
With a true commitment to coaching, you can expect the sun to set on thoughts like “I can’t do it,” “I don’t have time for self-care,” ”it’s work, no one loves what they do, or “I just need to accept life as it is and be grateful.” Be grateful! Absolutely. Coaching, however, provides space for us to be both grateful and comfortably excited to explore something new.
Do your thoughts and beliefs about yourself keep you in your own personal cave? Rough waters. Hard to see. Could you use a light? Coaching provides a very real reflection of your light to ignite, or re-ignite, your fire for all to see. But the most important person that sees and feels this light…is you. We invite you to come out of your cave.

At Coach and Rise, we keep the approach to our 1:1 sessions quite simple. There are two options to choose from. We offer single sessions, and we have a monthly subscription that includes two sessions per month. The monthly subscription also includes a digital copy of the book, “The Four Agreements” by Don Miguel Ruiz. If there is one book that we try to emulate in our work and lives at Coach and Rise, this is it. Perhaps it might impact you as well.
We do not sell packages of sessions. We find it counterintuitive to sell a package to a client that includes a certain number of sessions without knowing if that is what the client will truly need. We will not know what the needs of the client are until we begin coaching. In addition, we do not want our new clients to commit to a package when they might be experiencing coaching for the first time. Maybe coaching is not for them, maybe it is. Either way, we like to create a warm and welcoming environment for people to invest in themselves.
The best results we have seen from our clients is to have at least one session every 7 to 14 days as we work on identifying and creating the new changes you would like to see in your life. Anything more than 14 days often leads to client stagnation, or forgetting that they are trying to change anything at all. Autopilot takes over in these cases, so we try to honor a cadence that will best serve you.
Lastly, our sessions are 45 minutes long. We excel at understanding your expectations and getting to the heart of the matter quickly. We keep the sessions focused so you can get back to your day. Plus, we trust that you will learn and grow between sessions as well. The sessions are only part of the bigger picture.
Raise your Emotional Intelligence
Why do we want to increase our awareness and emotional intelligence in the first place? Simply stated, if we want to create new results and make lasting changes in our lives, we need a new strategy. Our current strategy is producing our current results so now we are choosing to do something differently. In order to shift old thoughts and behaviors and obtain this new result we have to be more aware. Aware of our thoughts and aware of our actions. We do this by slowing down from time to time, becoming more mindful, more intentional, being less reactionary and instead more responsive. We begin to increase our ability of perspective-taking and create new life-changing thought patterns. As we begin to see and feel these changes we have the direct added benefit of growing our emotional intelligence.
Emotional Intelligence, as defined by Daniel Goleman (author of “Emotional Intelligence: Why It Can Matter More than IQ”), “is a person’s ability to manage their feelings so that those feelings are expressed appropriately and effectively.“ Goleman believes that emotional intelligence is the largest single predictor of success in the workplace. It also greatly impacts every other relationship in our lives, especially our relationship with ourselves. Our thoughts, feelings, and actions are 100% interrelated. We can learn to pause from time to time in order to identify and manage our feelings differently. With this now as an option, we will also undoubtedly learn to choose new thoughts, releasing old thought patterns, and create new actions.
Managed emotions. New thoughts and beliefs about whom you are. A clearer connection to what you value, and what you are capable of accomplishing. Different actions. A new inner monologue. All of this leads to the change you want to step into.
The absolute only thing that can prevent you from achieving this is…you. We all have inner blocks that come in the form of limiting beliefs, how we talk to ourselves internally, as well as assumptions and interpretations we make and accept as truth. This is where Coach and Rise can help. We can step in and partner with you to identify and clear these blocks. We can work together to increase your awareness and raise your emotional intelligence. With even a small desire and dedication to this work, you will design and achieve the life and goals you have set out to create. If you are open to doing the work, coaching works. Every time.
Science has taught us that mindfulness is the base foundation of emotional intelligence (EQ). Developing and maintaining a mindfulness practice is the proven way to grow both our EQ, and create space for us to make the changes in our lives we want or need to incorporate. In order to influence change we have to be mindful of what we are thinking about, and create new thoughts & actions that will bring us new results. It gives us more time in the day. It’s the key to getting off autopilot.
What is mindfulness exactly? We will cover this more in our introductory call, but according to Jon Kabat-Zinn (founder of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction), it is “awareness that arises through paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgementally.” This might be the tool that changes everything.
Please reach us at info@coachandrise.com if you have any questions, or we can assist you in any way.
Ask oneself, if I am in the same position in life with the same thoughts, same feelings, and same actions (or inactions) a year from today, would that be ok? No matter your answer, Coach and Rise can help. Our clients include people who are in a not-so-good space looking to move into a good space, those in a good space to a great space, and those in a great space to an amazing space. There is always somewhere within our lives we can grow.
After doing a little self-inventory and envisioning what growth might look like for you (maybe it is adding something to your life, maybe it’s removing something, or both) feel free to reserve a free 15-minute Discovery video call with Coach and Rise. It is not required, but it is available to you to help you feel more comfortable. Just click any of the buttons on this website to acquire access to our calendar.
Congratulations! You have decided that the status quo just isn't working for you any longer. You are ready for a change, no matter how big or small, and you are committing to something you will never regret. By clicking on any of the buttons on this website you will be taken to our service offering page where you can select individual sessions, or the monthly subscription which includes two coaching sessions a month at an increased value. Lastly, please expect to receive some emailed material to help you get ready for your first session.
What would life look like for me with the improved ability of (fill in the blank i.e. emotional intelligence, executive presence, communication at work and home, motivation, etc.)?
What might life be like if I removed my (fill in the blank i.e. imposter syndrome, lack of confidence, procrastination, negative self-talk, high level of self-criticism, etc.)?
I am 72 years old, sitting on my porch in my rocking chair overlooking the creek/ocean/mountains. I am kindly reviewing my life thus far. What did I accomplish? What am I most proud of? How did I carry myself during especially hard times (i.e. with grace, frazzled, etc.)? If I have any regrets, what do I wish I did about it? If I do not have any regrets, what did I have to do to ensure I lived that way?
Lastly, other than money, time, or sleep, what do I need right now? Why is this need important to me? What am I doing to ensure I give myself what I need (knowing self-care is not me first, it’s me too)?

The idea is to lean into what is aiding people in moving forward, and to clear the thoughts and beliefs that are preventing this forward movement. In other words, we remove limiting beliefs and shift the internal monologue to one that is creative, self-loving, and forward-moving. Coach and Rise exists to ensure we identify and reach any and every goal that is important to you. It also firmly believes that any and everyone should have access to coaching. It is life-changing work we do together that can change individuals, families, teams, corporations, and entire communities. If you cannot afford a Coaching Package as described, send us an email; we will have an introductory call, and if you are still interested we will work something out.
